Group
B began with CSF Kiwi
hoping to fare better than their CSF Oz counterparts.
Their opponents were Prisoners
making their 3rd eurofootballfives.com outing
with a multinational squad. The 2008 Prague Masters
Plate winners opened the scoring through their
Brazilian goal machine Cleyton de Miranda. Prisoners
increased their lead to 2-0 through Miranda again
before the CSF hit back thanks to Scot Graeme
McGregor. When the teams turned around the game
was very much alive at 2-1. The fourth goal ended
up confirming matters as Prisoners stretched their
advantage to 3-1 when Vinny Patel scored his first
goal in Valencia . There was no coming back for
CSF Kiwi and the three points went to the Prisoners.
The
second scheduled game in Group B was Legends
versus Calpe Crocks.
Calpe Crocks proved to be Calpe Crocked as last
minute injuries (football and drinking!) forced
their withdrawal. This meant Legends were handed
a 3-0 victory on a plate without breaking sweat.
