When
Alphasights met Wokingham FC we were in must win
territory already. With the two teams losing their
opening games they needed a win to join the leaders
and give themselves hope of winning a medal. Defeat
now would ensure they would be going home empty-handed.
A draw, in truth, whilst better than a defeat
would not be a great deal of use.
Alphasights
were on the receiving end of a heavy defeat in
the first Plate game but this time they were the
ones dishing it out. Gregory Stalcup opened the
scoring, Rob Wooton made it and Stalcup scored
again for Alphasights whilst Edward Bending scored
for Wokingham FC. At 3-1 down the team from Berskshire
had it all to do
Charles
Sutherland ensured that task would become more
difficult when he made it 4-1 and then Carsten
Brinkmann made it 5-1 to round off a miserable
game for Wokingham FC. For Alphasights it was
not only a great 3 points but it also helped address
their goal difference issues from Round 1. Things
were looking up for them.
