So, with Round 1 of the Cup Group a stale-mate we were no nearer to finding out who would be Krakow champions in 2011. We were down to a two-game group effectively. Now was the time for one of these teams to assert themselves and really stake a claim for glory.

First up was Apsley House against CEPL and it was Apsley House who struck early through Lee Carter. His goal gave Aplsey House a platform to go on and take all 3 points. The early goal seemed to unsettle CEPL and it was not long before the lead was 2-0. In such a tight group, goal difference could well be pivotal and Apsley House were making sure their goal difference was a healthy one. CEPL had to be careful and keep the score down as they still had a game to go so would need to limit damage.

In the end Aplsey House racked up a 5-0 victory as Lee Carter scored a second, Alex Kurzweil scored his third of the day and there was two goals for Dan Chandler. The win rocketed Apsley House to the top of the Cup Group and destiny was in their own hands as they went into Round 3.

On Pitch B, Bozeat All Stars entertained The Happy Union. Could either of these teams claim victory and join Apsley House at the top? Eary signs were that it would be The Happy Union as Luke Belson and then Ashley Harry gave them a 2-0 lead. The Happy Union supporters were well aware of the score on the other pitch and knew they needed goals to make their final game easier. However, at 2-0 they had to be careful not to let Bozeat All Stars back-in. Bozeat had come from behind to secure draws twice already today but sadly for them it would not be three as they tasted defeat for the first time today.
