Into Round 4 and it was Over Crusaders II versus FCB Dunkles as the teams in 3rd and 4th position came head-to-head. Both teams had started with two wins followed by a defeat in Round 3 so this game would be crucial for each team to get their challenge back on track. FCB Dunkles had seemingly built their challenge on a solid backline with two clean sheets so far and were on course for another at half-time as neither side could find the opening goal and the teams were locked at 0-0.

The second half proved a different story though as Over Crusaders II put last game defeat behind them to get back on the winning trail through Gareth Willmer, Andy Smith and then Chris Hussey. It was a superlative performance and the 3-0 win saw Over Crusaders II climb into second position. The defeat meant two consecutive defeats for FCB Dunkles as they slipped into the bottom half of the table for the first time as they now sat in 5th .

Over Crusaders were looking to emulate their other team's result as they met Azmot on Pitch B. A game against the table-toppers was a much harder proposition though and so it turned out. Azmot looked determined to maintain their 100% record with a fourth consecutive victory. Szymou Zelasko scored both goals for Azmot in a first half that saw them take an imosing 2-0 lead.

Over Crusaders got back into it in the second period but it was too little too late after the first half damage. They clawed one back when Rob Martin struck but it was not to be enough as Ernest Spolnik also scored for Azmot. It was honours even in the second half but overall a 3-1 victory to Azmot who moved onto 12 points and three points clear at the top. Over Crusaders slipped from 6th to 7th.

Game 3 of Round 4 saw Hutnik take on Sherwood Forest . Hutnik went into the game high on confidence having just won their first game whilst Sherwood Forest had also just produced a fantastic display to see off Over Crusaders II. The game saw two evenly matched teams produce good performances but not enough to score past their opponents. The game reached half-time goal-less.

In the second half we were to witness goals and with Hutnik needing the 3 points more than their opponents it was them who opened the scoring via Piotr Wojcek. Sherwood Forest would not give this one up and bounced back to level scores at 1-1 courtesy of Richard Norbury. The game finished 1-1 and we had our first draw of the day. The draw kept Sherwood Forest in the Cup qualification places in 3rd but had less of a cushion on their rivals. Hutnik edged closer in points to the Cup and were now only two points off qualification although they found themselves slip to 6th place.

As the above game had showed, Cup qualification was really anyone's for the taking with the one exception of possibly Spasowskiego. The Polish team however could prove us wrong with a victory in their next match against FCB Helles. A win for FCB Helles here would be invaluable as it would catapult them into the Cup places. They could not take the game for granted though as their opponents were enthusiastic and diligent in their approach.

From the moment Jon Warman put FCB Helles 1-0 up the result never really looked in doubt though. With further strikes from Neil Donovan and Ed Hamand the points were secured. FCB Helles were the big movers in the table following two opening defeats they now had two successive wins, 6 points and were sitting nicely in 4th place. I am sure the fact they had pushed FCB Dunkles down into 5th place with this result had also not escaped them!
