Round 2 of Group A began with JNJ Russia A taking on Tekkers Lovakia. The former were looking to make it two wins in two games in the defence of their title. Tekkers Lovakia had earned a solid point from their first game and would look to kick on from here.

It did not look good early on for JNJ Russia A as they fell behind in the opening period to a Josh Lynn strike. Tekkers Lovakia maintained their lead until half time and were looking good. The English team could take nothing for granted though as JNJ Russia A had been a goal behind at half-time in their opening game before turning it around and taking all three points.

A comeback victory for JNJ Russia A was looking less likely when Mark Quigley doubled the lead for Tekkers Lovakia in the second half. At 2-0 Tekkers Lovakia were in control and ultimately JNJ Russia A had no answer as they slipped to defeat.

It was a superb result for Tekkers Lovakia as they had inflicted JNJ Russia A's first defeat in 9 eurofootballfives.com matches.

In the next game JNJ Serbia were looking to make it two wins out of two and go to the top of the Group A table. Their opponents were GBS Reds who had started with a solid point and, like Tekkers Lovakia, would hope to use that as a springboard for their first victory of the day.

There had been some history between the two teams as GBS Reds C met JNJ Serbia in Prague 2012 and on that occasion the Czech team had emerged victorious with a narrow 2-1 win. A repeat Czech victory looked unlikely in this one as JNJ Serbia raced to a 2-0 lead courtesy of goals from Branko Kosovic (his third in two games) and Aleksandar Drobnjak (scoring for the second game in a row).

JNJ Serbia took that 2-0 lead into the second half and it was a lead they would not relinquish. GBS Reds were unable to breach the Serbian defence at one end and at the other they were unable to extend their advantage so we finished at 2-0.

JNJ Serbia went to the top of the table with a maximum 6 points from their first two games. GBS Reds were currently in fourth position but the two teams below them were currently playing on Pitch C so that could all change soon.

Game 6 of Group A saw JNJ Middle East take on JNJ High Wycombe B of England. Both teams were looking to bounce back from an opening game defeat and defeats to teams with good eurofootballfives.com records. JNJ Middle East pushed the reigning champions all the way and High Wycombe B had lost to the team that currently topped the table.

JNJ Middle East started well in their first game and they started well again here as they took a 1-0 lead into half-time for the second game in a row. A Matt Tominey throw-in was powerfully headed in by Bulent Kotan and that was enough to give JNJ Middle East the advantage.

Could JNJ High Wycombe B pull the game back in the second half? JNJ Russia A had overturned a deficit against JNJ Middle East in Round 1 and so the next goal would be crucial. If JNJ High Wycombe B could claim it then it would be game on but if JNJ Middle East could go 2-0 ahead they would be on the verge of their first win.

When the second goal came it was Matt Tominey who scored his second of the tournament and doubled JNJ Middle East's lead. There was to be no further score and JNJ Middle East claimed a maiden eurofootballfives.com victory and rose to 3 rd place in the table.
