The first Semi-Final was always going to be an epic tie between two top quality teams with fantastic goal scoring records. Midshires FC and Luminy Wolves were the two top scoring teams and featured two of the top-scoring strikers in the tournament. Midshires FC were also yet to concede a goal.

We expected goals in this Semi-Final and goals are what we got in what was probably the game of the tournament. Luminy Wolves opened the score when Allan Gosselin put away a header from a throw in – amazingly this was the first goal Henrique Araujo had conceded in over 5 games. Romualdas Maciulevicius ensured Midshires FC would not be behind at half-time though when he scored from a corner routine. Then, it got even better as just before the break Midshires FC went 2-1 up through Laszlo Szucs due to an error from the French goalkeeper.

After half-time Luminy Wolves were back level again when Haikel Ben Khelifa scored with a powerful shot to make it 2-2. The goal took him to 10 for the tournament and top of the top goalscorer charts. Could anyone win this tie in normal time to avoid Golden Goal extra time and potentially penalties? Yes they could and there was some debate on the goal as some thought it was a Najim Ait El Asri own goal but the referee awarded it to Laszlo Szucs his 9 th of the tournament.

That's the way it finished and Midshires FC had one more game to prepare for. Luminy Wolves day was over but they had made a great contribution to the tournament.

The second Cup Semi-Final was between Rapid Bosco Navas and FC Miracle. Rapid Bosco Navas were bidding to make their third eurofootballfives final, FC Miracle by contrast were looking to reach the Cup Final at the first attempt.

FC Miracle were on a run of 5 games undefeated, compared to 4 for Rapid Bosco Navas. One of those unbeaten runs would have to end here.

It was the representatives from Hungary who started off more quickly and they took the initiative for a 2-0 lead at the turnaround. Janos Gal's 7 th of the tournament set them on their way before Janos Molnar doubled the advantage. In the second half, Rapid Bosco Navas tried to get back into it but the mountain was too big to climb and in fact FC Miracle extended the lead through Edvard Szabo to make it 3-0.

That's how it finished and FC Miracle were off to the Cup Final. It was farewell to Rapid Bosco Navas who were naturally disappointed at their exit. We look forward to seeing them in action again in 2012.
