Athletico Do Hollande became the first team to retain a eurofootballfives.com title when the 2010 winners claimed the 2011 crown. They did not have it easy though as they beat 2-times winners Goldsmiths Williams in the semi-finals and came from behind twice in the final against Cheesecake FC. They scored the winning goal in a 3-2 win in the dying moments of the game to spark emotional scenes of wild celebration.

In the Plate competition it was Eagles UnAthletic who triumphed to give the New Milton Eagles club their second successive Plate win after claiming that prize at the 2010 Krakow Trophy last time out. They defeated Pimp My Side FC 2-1 in the final as Pimp My Side collected their second runners-up medals in successive tournaments as, also in Krakow, they claimed the runners-up prize but in the Cup competition on that occasion.

Misfits FC were the Wooden Spoon winners following a 3-1 win over local Portuguese team Maritimo.

It was a great day's competition and played in a sensational atmosphere. Roll on the 2012 Algarve Open!
