Who
would meet A Magyar Pekseg in the final? The two
teams in contention were Whiteley VII and Dyslexia
Untied. Whiteley VII were in familiar territory
after reaching the same stage in the 2010 Algarve
Open. On that occasion, they emerged victorious
to reach the Wooden Spoon Final. Their opponents
Dyslexia Untied were here for the first time.
It
was always going to be difficult to pick a winner
in this game so we didn't even try. We decided
just to sit back, watch and enjoy as the action
unfolded. That action was good honest endeavor
in the first half but no goals to show for the
teams exploits.
In
the second half the stalemate was broken as Jake
Alford's 3rd goal of the day put Whiteley VII
in pole position. As Dyslexia Untied chased the
game Glenn Hillstrom capitalized with his second
of the day and his team's second of the game for
a 2-0 lead.
2-0
was enough to see Whiteley VII through to the
final. Dyslexia Untied could now go and support
Deportivo Lack of Talent in the Plate as their
participation was now over. |
