The stats made for interesting reading. CE Llefia had the most goals, the most clean sheets, the least conceded and the best goal difference. But, Sharks were the only unbeaten team in the tournament and crucially they had won the match when the two teams met in the group phase.

The game kicked off and it was Sharks who hit the ground running. Goals from Michiel Geens and Roel Renken put Sharks in charge at 2-0. However, Benjamin Salas Jardon pulled one back before half-time. For Sharks, it was the exact opposite of the position they found themselves in during their semi-final.

The second half kicked off with Sharks in the box seat but they were soon pegged back as Adrian Porras Hernandez pulled CE Llefia level. Momentum was with CE Llefia and they completed their comeback with Francisco Lorenzo Gonzalez striking the winner. Amazingly it was the third time today a team had come from 2-0 down to win 3-2. It was a stunning comeback and stunning win for CE Llefia.

Please spare a thought for Sharks – they had put in a stunning effort and came close to that first eurofootballfives.com title only to have it snatched from their grasp! Our sincere commiserations to them on this occasion.

Our congratulations go to Club Esportiu Llefia on their second eurofootballfives.com victory. They added the 2021 Barcelona Fives to the 2015 Barcelona Fives – the first team to win this tournament on two occasions. They were brilliant on the day and deserved their celebrations.
