Format: 4 groups of 4teams will play in the group stages. The top two teams progress to the Cup which will then be played on a knockout basis. The teams placed third and fourth will progress to the Plate which will also be played on a knockout basis.

Barcelona made its debut in the eurofootballfives.com ladies tournament calender in June 2008 and even before the 2008 tournament kicked-off, such interest was generated that the Barcelona Fives was already in the 2009 diary!

In all the surveys we have done Barcelona has topped people's wishlist. Everyone knows about the football pedigree and history of Barcelona so it is no surprise that Barcelona is proving so popular.

Barcelona is a fascinating city awash with historical and modern art and culture and not to mention is one of the most cosmopolitan and vibrant cities in Europe. The city is enriched with architecture the envy of the rest of Europe, great parklands and is also a city on the beach so what better time than June to hold the tournament!

For many Barcelona is a shopper's paradise. The city has a certain buzz to it both during the day and the evenings when the night scene bursts into life.

With strong enquiries for the 2009 Barcelona Fives already (10 before the 2008 event had even kicked off) plus the invitation to local Spanish teams in 2009 we are anticipating a 16-team event for this tournament. We hope you can join us. We have European opposition ready to put your skills to the test so come and join us in Barcelona for a fantastic festival of football.

Tournament Venue

The Barcelona Fives will be held at the BRAFA Sports Facility which has specialist 5- and 7-a-side pitches. The pitches are new generation artificial grass laid on a bed of rubber fibregel balls/pellets. The venue is a good quality venue and perfect for the tournament.

Prices

The prices below are based upon flights into and out of Barcelona International Airport (BCN). Flights, predominantly Ryanair, are availabile into Girona and Reus airports as well. For these airports we do not include airport transfers as these prove extremely expensive plus there are buses that meet the flight and transfer you to central Barcelona which works out much more efficient and economical. Hotel Prices and Hostel Twin room prices are per person based upon twin room sharing.
2 nights accommodation in chosen hotel/hostel on B&B basis.

For dormitory accommodation, we will reserve a private dormitory for you. The size will depend upon the size of your group.
Return Airport-Hotel-Airport Transfers based upon minimum 5 passengers per arrival and departure.

Airport transfers are based upon Barcelona (BCN) airport.

Return Hotel-Football-Hotel Transfer.
All tournament fees including entry fee, registration fee, pitch hire, referees, tournament directors, medical facilities, shower and changing room facilities, availability of refreshment facilities (refreshments not included).

Apartments - we reserve the right to select the appropriate apartment(s) for your group.

Dormitory prices are based upon a minimum of 5 people.

FREE - Flight Information Service
Flights are excluded from the prices quoted. We are at your disposal to give you information, recommendations and advice on the flight options available. Our advice costs nothing. If you would then like us to book your flights on your behalf we can do but we would then add a booking fee. We can book your flights for you and will book them at cost. We charge a booking fee of £5.00 per passenger which will automatically be added to your bill. All flights are instant purchase and credit card payment is required at the time of booking. Your contract will be with the airline and the airline will show on your bank or credit card statement. Any airline handling fees such as payment fees will be charged by the airline direct to you.
