With
all teams in Group A having now played twice,
Maruru took to the field against a Purple Nurple
side still searching for their first points and
first goals of the tournament. Maruru arrived
in joint second place after a win from their opening
two matches, while Purple Nurple were rooted near
the bottom of the standings and in need of a spark
to revive their campaign.
The
Spanish side made a strong start and quickly asserted
control of the contest. Salvador Ramon Benitez
opened the scoring, continuing his excellent individual
form with his third goal of the day and setting
the tone for a dominant Maruru performance. Purple
Nurple struggled to cope with the movement and
finishing quality on display, and the pressure
soon told again.
The
second goal was added by Antoni Torres Adrouer
to double the advantage, before Salvador Ramon
Benitez struck again to make it 3–0 and effectively
put the game beyond reach before the interval.
Maruru's attacking combinations were sharp and
clinical, while Purple Nurple were unable to find
any rhythm or response in a difficult first half.
The
second half belonged entirely to Antoni Torres
Adrouer, who produced a superb hat-trick after
the break to take his personal tally to four goals
and seal a comprehensive 6–0 victory. His finishing
and movement earned him man-of-the-match honours
in a dominant team display, as Maruru strengthened
their position near the top of the group. For
Purple Nurple, it was another heavy defeat and
a frustrating afternoon as they continued to search
for a breakthrough in the competition.

Skidmarks
continued their relentless march through Group
A with another commanding performance, defeating
Very Old Salesians B 6–1 in a clash that pitted
the group leaders against a side searching for
consistency. Coming into the match with two wins
from two, ten goals scored and none conceded,
Skidmarks had already established themselves as
the standout team of the tournament, and this
latest display only reinforced that status.
They
made their intentions clear early on, with Luke
Hatfield opening the scoring to set the tone for
another dominant outing. Richard Keeley added
a second, continuing his excellent tournament
form, before Rupert Harvey extended the lead further
as Skidmarks overwhelmed their opponents with
pace, precision and clinical finishing in the
first half.
After
the interval, Skidmarks showed no sign of easing
off. Jamie Dewinter added a fourth goal before
Ashley Britten and Josh Williams both got on the
scoresheet to complete a comprehensive attacking
display. Very Old Salesians B did at least manage
a consolation when Liam Moth broke Skidmarks'
previously flawless defensive record, scoring
the first goal conceded by the tournament favourites.
However, it did little to alter the outcome, as
Skidmarks cruised to a 6–1 victory and maintained
their 100% record at the top of Group A, firmly
establishing themselves as the team to beat heading
into the final round of group matches.

Ecuador
100% Vets responded to the setback of their
previous match in emphatic fashion, sweeping
aside Purple Nurple 6–1 to keep their title
defence firmly on track in Group A. With Purple
Nurple facing a must-win scenario to keep their
hopes of progression alive, the stakes were
high, but the match quickly moved beyond a contest
as the defending champions imposed themselves
with authority from the outset.
Andres
Dorado set the tone early with the opening goal,
and Ecuador 100% Vets never looked back as Brian
Molina added a quick-fire brace to extend the
lead. Dorado struck again before halftime to
complete a dominant first-half display, with
Ecuador 100% Vets going into the break 4–0 ahead
and in full control of both possession and territory.
Purple
Nurple, despite their difficult position in
the table, continued to compete in the second
half and were eventually rewarded with a memorable
moment when Stephen Wood scored their first
goal of the tournament and their first in European
competition, a highlight in an otherwise challenging
campaign. However, the response from Ecuador
100% Vets was immediate and decisive, as Eric
Prieto added a fifth to restore their dominance.
The
final word belonged to Brian Molina, who completed
his hat-trick with the sixth goal of the afternoon
to seal a comprehensive 6–1 victory. The result
ensured Ecuador 100% Vets remained firmly in
contention for both progression and potential
title defence, while Purple Nurple's tournament
came to an end without further points, but at
least with a moment of history to take away
from their final appearance.

80%
of Group B games were now completed with just
2 to go. Maruru and Skidmarks produced a tense
and high-quality encounter in the penultimate
Group A fixture, with both sides still having
everything to play for at the top end of the table.
Maruru arrived knowing victory was essential to
maintain realistic hopes of reaching the cup competition,
while Skidmarks were already guaranteed Cup qualification
but chasing the Group A win and a 100% record
after an outstanding tournament so far.
The
match lived up to expectations in a competitive
first half, with both teams showing why they had
been in the winners' enclosure at previous events.
Maruru struck first through Mark Torres Jimenez,
giving them a crucial early advantage and briefly
strengthening their position in the live standings.
However, Skidmarks responded in typical fashion,
with Richard Keeley finding the equaliser to keep
his side's unbeaten run intact. The teams went
into halftime locked at 1–1, with everything still
to play for.
The
second half remained finely balanced, with chances
at a premium as both defences held firm under
increasing pressure. Just when the game looked
destined to end level, Rupert Harvey delivered
at a decisive moment, scoring what would prove
to be the winning goal. The strike, his fourth
of the tournament, underlined his importance to
a Skidmarks side that continued to find match-winners
across the pitch.
That
goal secured a 2–1 victory and confirmed Skidmarks
as Group A winners with a maximum 12 points from
12, capping a dominant group-stage campaign in
style. For Maruru, the narrow defeat left their
qualification hopes hanging in the balance, with
their fate now dependent on other results and
goal difference, and the likelihood growing that
they would have to settle for a place in the Plate
competition despite a strong overall showing.

Ecuador
100% Vets secured their place in the Cup competition
with a professional and controlled 3–1 victory
over Very Old Salesians B in the final Group A
fixture. Knowing that a draw or better would guarantee
second place and keep their title defence alive,
the defending champions approached the match with
focus and composure, while their opponents were
already assured of a Plate competition place and
able to play with freedom and without pressure
on the outcome.
The
Ecuadorian side struck first through Andres Dorado,
who continued his outstanding tournament form
by scoring his fifth goal of the competition.
However, Very Old Salesians B responded well and
equalised through Johnny Hudson, ensuring a competitive
and evenly balanced first half. The game remained
tightly contested throughout the opening period,
with both sides creating opportunities in an end-to-end
contest.
Ecuador
100% Vets restored their advantage before the
break when Eric Prieto found the net to make it
2–1 at half-time, giving the champions a crucial
lead in a match that still hung in the balance.
Their ability to strike at key moments once again
proved decisive, particularly against an organised
and determined Salesians side. In the second half,
Ecuador 100% Vets took further control as Pau
Roman extended the lead to 3–1, effectively sealing
the result. Very Old Salesians B continued to
compete and put in a respectable performance,
but they were unable to pull a goal back. The
final whistle confirmed Ecuador 100% Vets' qualification
into the Cup competition while Very Old Salesians
B moved into the Plate with positives to take
from a spirited campaign in what was a very tough
group.
