Group B began with Cracow United taking on Half Parisian Saint Germain. Cracow United were making their debut in the tournament although in captain Ian Corkhill they had experience as he played for the Irish Mbassy in the 2011 event. Half Parisian Saint Germain were the second squad from the County (Re)United team who had played in Valencia last October.

The game that ensued was a pretty evenly contested affair with the teams looking well matched. Both looked strong on the ball but in the final third of the pitch lay the difference as the Polish team proved more adept at putting the finish touches to their attacking play. Goals from Ian Corkhill and Michal Pacula would settle the game as the home team completed a 2-0 victory.

In the next game, IFC and FC Invicta of Folkestone would begin their campaigns. Both teams were marking their debuts in our tournaments so it would be interesting to see how this panned out. With play underway it did not take long for IFC to claim the ascendency as they raced into a 3-0 lead with barely a couple of minutes on the clock.

It was a disastrous start for FC Invicta and sadly set the tone for the rest of the game. We reached half-time and it was 7-0. Five further goals after the interval and it was a 12-0 win for IFC. Goals were shared around with Bartosz Miskiewicz (4), Miroslav Mikolajczyk (3) and Piotr Kohieczny (3) all grabbing hat-tricks with Dariusz Gembala and Gregorz Zewowski also finding the net. It was just the start the Polish team would have dreamed of but was a nightmare for the English team.

Cool Tours were the fourth debutants and the last team to play in Group B. They would meet Cracow United who already had a win under their belts and a further three points would be just what the doctor ordered.

Cool Tours started well and at half-time there was little to choose between the teams in terms of scoreline. Michal Pacula scored for the second game in a row for Cracow United but a Wantuch goal for Cool Tours ensured the teams were level 1-1 at the break.

The second half proved the difference between the two teams as Dan Sosinski put Cracow United ahead. Benoit Corre made it 3-1 before Nicola Lanacchia completed the scoring in a fine 4-1 victory. Cracow United were top of the table with a maximum 6 points out of 6.

Game 4 was the scheduled meeting of Half Parisian Saint Germain versus IFC. IFC had announced themselves in style in Game 1 and were looking to continue that form into this game. Half Parisian Saint Germain were hoping they could turn an encouraging performance into points following opening game defeat.

Half Parisian Saint Germain played well once again and IFC knew they had a game on their hands. The English team were unable to penetrate the Polish defence though and it proved their undoing as IFC found the net twice in the second period to make it two wins out of two. Mariusz Bredoit opened the scoring before Gregorz Zewowski sealed the win with a second.

IFC went top of the table and were looking impressive. Half Parisian Saint Germain were looking to register their first points of the tournament and had two more group games to open their account.

The game that would take us to the half-way stage of Group B was FC Invicta of Folkestone versus Cool Tours. The former were looking to put a horror show behind them from the opening round of games. The latter were also looking for their first points but had put in a good first half performance against Cracow United before coming undone as the game went on.

FC Invicta of Folkestone played much better in this fixture and the two teams battled hard. We reached half-time and there was just the one goal in it as Cool Tours edged the first-half 1-0 thanks to a Wantuch strike. There was still much to play for after the break and FC Invicta of Folkestone would feel they could get back into this game. Their task got doubly difficult though when Maciej Golec made it 2-0 to Cool Tours.

FC Invicta of Folkestone slipped to defeat but the first points were on the board for Cool Tours. At the half-way stage of Group B it was Poland who lead the way with their three teams occupying 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the table.
