On
a great day of international competition with
teams from England, Germany and Poland, plus
many other nationalities represented in the
playing squads, it was Skidmarks who emerged
victorious when they beat Polish team Vamos
1-0 in the Cup Final. It meant Skidmarks had
a 100% record with 2 wins in 2 tournaments....only
Olympic Phil Babb could match that when they
won their first 4 eurofootballfives.com tournaments.
In
the Plate competition there was success for
SV Zoo of Germany who certainly justified their
trip from Berlin. It did not look good for them
to start with as they were 3-0 down in the Plate
Final before recovering for a 4-3 victory. Never
write off the Germans.
The
personal honours of the day went to Ian Corkhill
of Cracow United who took the top goalscorer
prize with 9 goals on the day.....not bad as
played in goal for the first 3 games.
