FC
Moldova Montreal came into this encounter sitting
proudly at the top of Group A with six points
from their opening two matches, having maintained
their unbeaten record in regular time at eurofootballfives
tournaments. JK Silvertown A, meanwhile, were
under pressure to deliver a result if they were
to keep their title defence on track. The English
side had lost their opener against The Legends
before recovering with a 3-2 victory over Catalunya
Legends Juniors, leaving them on three points
alongside two other teams. With goal difference
separating second to fourth, and JK Silvertown
A sitting bottom of that trio on -1, there was
little room for error.
FC
Moldova Montreal once again demonstrated why they
had made such an impressive start to the tournament.
Dorin Vasilica opened the scoring to give the
Canadians a valuable lead, putting further pressure
on the defending champions. JK Silvertown A needed
to find a response, but Montreal continued to
look composed and dangerous, extending their advantage
through Iurii Verbanov to make it 2-0. The Canadians
were showing the same confidence that had carried
them through their opening fixtures, while Silvertown
faced an uphill battle. Lilian Stah added a third
goal for FC Moldova Montreal, putting the result
beyond doubt and completing another commanding
performance from the Group A leaders. JK Silvertown
A were unable to find a way past the Canadian
defence, and the match finished 3-0. It was another
clean, convincing victory for Montreal, who had
now scored ten goals across their first three
games.
The
result took FC Moldova Montreal to nine points
and opened up a six-point gap at the top of Group
A, strengthening their position as they pursue
a place in the Cup knockout stages. Their unbeaten
record remained intact, and they were looking
increasingly formidable with every match. For
JK Silvertown A, the defeat leaves their title
defence in a precarious position. With three teams
clustered on three points behind Montreal, the
battle for the remaining qualification places
remains tight – and their main rivals now had
a game in hand. JK Silvertown would need a strong
response in their next fixture and other results
to go their way to climb back into contention
for the Cup.

The
Legends came into Match 7 of Group A knowing
a victory would lift them into second place
and strengthen their bid for Cup qualification.
After opening their campaign with a 3-1 win
over defending champions JK Silvertown A, the
Bulgarian side had suffered a 3-1 defeat to
FC Moldova Montreal, leaving them with three
points from two games. The Maulers, meanwhile,
were still searching for their first points
after back-to-back defeats. A win for the English
side would have thrown Group A wide open, potentially
leaving four teams level on three points and
setting up a fascinating battle for the knockout
places. The two teams had met at the 2025 Barcelona
Veterans, where The Legends came out on top
2-0, and the Bulgarians would have been keen
to repeat that success.
The
Legends wasted little time in taking control,
with Mladen Mihaylov opening the scoring to
put the Bulgarian side 1-0 ahead. Mihaylov then
struck again to double the advantage, giving
The Legends a commanding position and leaving
The Maulers with a difficult task. Miski Zlot
added a third goal for the Bulgarians before
Mihaylov completed his hat-trick, taking the
score to 4-0 by half-time. It had been a ruthless
first-half performance from The Legends, who
punished their opponents and made the most of
their opportunities, while The Maulers struggled
to find a foothold in the contest.
The
second half brought another goal for The Legends,
with Plamen Ivanov making it 5-0 to round off
an emphatic performance. Mihaylov's hat-trick
was the standout individual contribution, but
the goals from Zlot and Ivanov underlined the
threat The Legends carried throughout the side.
The Maulers were unable to find a consolation
goal, and the match finished 5-0, giving the
Bulgarians a convincing victory and a valuable
boost to their goal difference. The win takes
The Legends to six points and puts them firmly
in the mix for a Cup qualification place, strengthening
their position in a group where the battle behind
FC Moldova Montreal remains tight. For The Maulers,
the defeat leaves them without a point after
three matches, and their hopes of reaching the
knockout stages are now under considerable pressure.

Catalunya
Legends Juniors went into their third Group A
fixture knowing that a victory over FC Moldova
Montreal would lift them into joint second place
and strengthen their hopes of reaching the Cup
competition. Having lost their opening match 3-2
to JK Silvertown A before bouncing back with a
2-1 win over The Maulers, the Spanish side had
shown enough to suggest they could challenge the
group leaders. However, they faced the toughest
possible test in the form of FC Moldova Montreal,
who had won all three of their matches so far
in Lloret de Mar. The Canadians were enjoying
an excellent run of form and needed just a draw
to guarantee top spot in the group, while a fourth
consecutive victory would give them a perfect
record for the day, mirroring their achievement
at the Lisbon Veterans tournament in May.
FC
Moldova Montreal made their quality count as they
took control of the contest and moved into a two-goal
lead. Vadim Arama opened the scoring to put the
Canadians 1-0 ahead, continuing his impressive
tournament and finding the net for the third time.
Denis Creanga then doubled the advantage, also
registering his third goal of the competition
and putting Montreal firmly in the driving seat.
With two of their attacking contributors finding
the target once again, the Canadian side demonstrated
the consistency that had carried them through
their opening fixtures and left Catalunya Legends
Juniors facing an uphill battle.
The
Spanish side refused to let the match slip away
without a fight, and Inaki Larrea gave them renewed
hope by reducing the deficit to 2-1. His goal
brought Catalunya Legends Juniors back within
touching distance and gave them an opportunity
to put pressure on the group leaders. However,
FC Moldova Montreal responded at the right moment,
with Dorin Vasilica restoring their two-goal cushion
to make it 3-1. It was Vasilica's second goal
of the day, and his contribution proved decisive
as Montreal re-established control and saw out
the remainder of the contest without allowing
their opponents to close the gap again.
The
final whistle confirmed a 3-1 victory for FC Moldova
Montreal, extending their perfect record to four
wins from four matches in Lloret de Mar. The result
also secured their position at the top of Group
A, with the Canadians continuing to underline
their credentials as serious contenders for the
tournament title. For Catalunya Legends Juniors,
the defeat halted their progress after the win
over The Maulers and left them needing to make
the most of their remaining fixture as they continued
their pursuit of a Cup qualification place.

| With
both JK Silvertown A and The Maulers sitting on
three points, Match 9 was a crucial encounter
in the battle for Group A's knockout places. Victory
would take JK Silvertown A level with The Legends
on six points, keeping alive their hopes of reaching
the Cup, although they would also need the Bulgarians
to slip up. A draw, meanwhile, would guarantee
Silvertown a place in the Plate competition. For
The Maulers, they needed a win and to hope it
would overturn goal difference against JK Silvertown
A or Catalunya Legends Juniors (if they lost to
The Legends).
JK
Silvertown A had arrived in Lloret de Mar as defending
champions following their triumph at the 2025
Barcelona Veterans, but their title defence had
been far from straightforward. After losing their
opener 3-1 to The Legends, they had responded
with a 3-2 victory over Catalunya Legends Juniors,
before suffering a 3-0 defeat to FC Moldova Montreal.
Now facing The Maulers, they needed to deliver
when it mattered most. They had some serious attacking
pedigree at their disposal, with Chris Wright
having finished as top scorer in Barcelona last
year with 12 goals, while Alan Sanders had claimed
the same honour in Porto in 2024, also with 12
goals. That was a formidable pair of goal threats
for Silvertown to call upon, but could their experience
and firepower make the difference in this decisive
fixture?
The
Maulers had drawn 0-0 against JK Silvertown B
last year but this was a step up against the A
team here in Lloret de Mar. The A team had that
extra clinical edge and clinched the result in
the form of a 2-0 victory for JK Silvertown. Chris
Wright opened the scoring to give the English
side the advantage, providing another reminder
of the finishing ability that had made him such
a prolific performer in Barcelona. Alan Sanders
then added the second goal, putting further distance
between the teams and giving Silvertown a valuable
cushion. With both of their proven goalscorers
finding the net, it ultimately proved the difference
between the two sides. The result gave JK Silvertown
A three important points and lifted them to six,
level with The Legends and back in contention
for a Cup place, although their hopes still depended
on the outcome of the Bulgarians' remaining match.
For
The Maulers, a 2-0 defeat against the two-times
title winners is no disgrace but it still meant
elimination from the tournament in 5 th place
in what was a very tough group.

| The
Legends entered their final Group A fixture against
Catalunya Legends Juniors knowing that a single
point would be enough to secure their place in
the Cup competition. For the Spanish side, the
equation was considerably more demanding: only
a victory by three clear goals would allow them
to leapfrog the Bulgarians and claim the coveted
qualification spot. With so much at stake, Catalunya
Legends Juniors needed a near-perfect performance,
while The Legends could draw confidence from their
previous results and the opportunity to finish
the group stage strongly. Having already demonstrated
their attacking potential in Lloret de Mar, the
Bulgarians were determined to make sure their
place among the Cup qualifiers was not left in
doubt.
The
Legends made an important breakthrough in the
first half when Aleksander Shabanov found the
net to give his side a 1-0 lead. It was a significant
goal in a match where the pressure was firmly
on Catalunya Legends Juniors to attack, and it
put the Bulgarians in a strong position heading
into the interval. The Spanish side now faced
an even steeper challenge, needing to score at
least four times without reply in order to achieve
the three-goal winning margin required to overtake
their opponents. At half-time, The Legends had
the advantage and were on course to get the point
they needed, while Catalunya Legends Juniors had
little time left to turn the contest around. Any
hopes of a Spanish comeback were dealt a major
blow after the restart, as Shabanov struck twice
more to complete a superb hat-trick and extend
the lead to 3-0. His treble was The Legends' second
hat-trick of the tournament, following Mladen
Mihaylov's earlier achievement in the 5-0 victory
over The Maulers. Shabanov's clinical finishing
proved decisive, transforming a narrow advantage
into a commanding lead and putting the outcome
beyond Catalunya Legends Juniors' reach. Iskren
Ilyev then added a fourth goal for the Bulgarians,
completing an emphatic 4-0 victory and putting
the finishing touch on a convincing performance.
The
result confirmed The Legends' qualification for
the Cup. For Catalunya Legends Juniors, the defeat
meant their Cup ambitions were over, and they
would have to turn their attention to the Plate
competition, where JK Silvertown A would join
them.
