The 2015 Algarve Open proved to be another great tournament in this fantastic destination. With no home victory in the Algarve Open until 2014, Futeboladas made it two Portuguese wins in two years as they lifted the coveted trophy. They won the Cup Final 3-0 against an RC Lens team that had looked to be the champions elect but just couldn't get over the line down the final straight. Tournament top goalscorer Miguel Perreira's 8 goals in the tournament helped his team to glory.

The Plate Final saw two English debutants reach the final game and it as AFC Shooters A who beat Mavericks 3-0 to take the winners medals in the presentation. On the night that Barcelona won the Champions League it was AFC Shooters A who partied like true champions.

The eurofootballfives.com Veterans Tournament turned 3 years old in 2015 and after visits to Lisbon and Mallorca we hit the glorious shores of the Algarve. Last year's runners-up, The Blackouts, were keen to go one step further this year and they went all the way to the Cup Final again. They lost 1-0 in the Final in 2014 and drew the Final here 1-1 in 2015. The tournament was to be decided by a penalty shoot-out which saw Mini FC claim the title and The Blackouts miss out again - by the narrowest of margins.

There was some consolation for The Blackouts as they feature the top goalscorer for the second year in a row - Shane Cox the man to collect the award this year.

In the Plate competition it was Norton Old Boys who won their second Plate competition. They defeated The Warriors (on debut) in the final.
