Due
to the withdrawals at various stages of the Lions
Bar, Slepi Kone and FC Dropa, the quarter finals
of the Plate reflected an old Bay City Rollers
hit of BYE, BYE (baby, baby good) BYE.
Brazil
United, Sparta CSF and Yorvik Blades were all
rewarded for their 3 rd place finishes with a
bye through to the Semi Final. This meant all
focus was on the Slavia SCF and England Lions.
England
Lions roared into an unassailable 4-0 lead relatively
early on. All goals scored by Parry, 1 from Michael
Parry to get things moving followed by the third
hat trick of the tournament from Ian Parry. Jasbir
‘Bobby' Gill pulled one back and with their tails
up James Nott hit the post. If that had gone in
it could have given the Lions a nervy run in but
the scoring (and Slavia CSF's hopes) finished
there.
The
England Lions would progress to meet Brazil United
in the Semi Final.
