FC Dad faced Stiftung Wadentest in their second match with FC Dad looking to build on their opening point. Stiftung Wadentest, competing in their first ever Krakow Trophy, had already shown plenty of promise in their opening match against defending champions DZ Fennecs despite a 3-0 defeat and were looking to bounce back quickly.

Stiftung Wadentest made the stronger start and quickly established control of the contest. Dejan Varcakovic opened the scoring before Robin Kurp doubled the German side's advantage, putting FC Dad under increasing pressure. Ingmar Laning then added a third to complete an excellent opening half for Stiftung, who went into the break with a commanding 3-0 lead. FC Dad had work to do in the second half if they were to find a route back into the game. The second half began with Stiftung Wadentest continuing to threaten, and Varcakovic struck again to make it 4-0 and put the result seemingly beyond doubt. FC Dad nevertheless continued to battle and were rewarded for their persistence when Ben McNamee pulled a goal back. The strike gave the English side something to build on and ensured Stiftung could not totally relax in the closing stages, although they still had a three-goal cushion giving them plenty of breathing room.

Stiftung Wadentest ultimately saw out the match to secure an impressive 4-1 victory and collected a valuable three points. It was the perfect response to their opening game defeat and they looked good. For FC Dad, McNamee's goal broke their tournament duck but after a clean sheet in the opening game they were more open at the back this time.

Los Malakas Hermanos and Krakow Lions-Big Time produced another closely fought contest in the Krakow Trophy group phase, with very little separating the two Polish sides throughout. 12 months ago Krakow Lions beat Los Malakas Hermanos 3-1 in the group phase. Both teams worked hard to create openings, but neither was able to find the decisive touch during a cagey first half, with the score remaining 0-0 at the interval. It was perhaps no surprise as both teams were involved in 0-0 draws in their opening games.

The second half continued in much the same vein, with both sides battling for every ball and looking for a way through. Chances remained difficult to come by as the defences held firm, and with the clock running down it appeared increasingly likely that the points would be shared in another goalless draw. However, just when it looked as though neither side would be able to break the deadlock, Los Malakas Hermanos found the crucial breakthrough. Juan Guerrero struck with the last kick of the game, sending the Polish side into celebrations and leaving Krakow Lions-Big Time with no time whatsoever to respond. It was a hammer blow for them.

The dramatic late winner secured a 1-0 victory for Los Malakas Hermanos in one of the most decisive finishes of the group phase so far. After a match in which both sides had defended resolutely and looked set to settle for a point, Guerrero's last-gasp strike proved the difference and handed Los Malakas Hermanos all three points. Los Malakas Hermanos would finish Round 2 joint top of the table.

Dee Rangers secured a memorable 1-0 victory over defending champions DZ Fennecs in Match 6 of the Krakow Trophy, producing one of the standout results of the group phase so far. DZ Fennecs had arrived in Krakow with an impressive record, but Dee Rangers were determined to make their own mark against the reigning champions. DZ Fennecs came into the game as defending champions and with a 3-0 win from their opener. They had played 7 and won 7 games in eurofootballfives.com competition….until now!

Dee Rangers were solid with a 0-0 draw in their opening match and they remained defensively strong here. The decisive moment of the game came when Jonah Jones found the breakthrough with a superb shot from distance. The strike gave Dee Rangers the lead and put DZ Fennecs on the back foot, although the Polish side continued to search for a response before the interval. Dee Rangers held firm, taking their 1-0 advantage into half-time.

The second half saw DZ Fennecs push for an equaliser as they looked to avoid an unexpected defeat. Dee Rangers, however, defended their lead with determination and refused to allow the champions a way back into the contest. Despite the pressure, the crucial second goal never came and the English side maintained their narrow advantage right through to the final whistle.

The result saw Dee Rangers claim all three points in impressive fashion and move to the top of the table. For DZ Fennecs this was their first ever defeat in one of our tournaments, dating back to their first appearance last year. Jonah Jones' long-range strike will therefore go down as a particularly significant goal in the Krakow Trophy campaign.
