The fourth and final group was group D. A Spanish team named after West Ham of England withdrew on the morning of the event so each team would therefore play the other teams ‘home' and ‘away' and get the bonus of an extra games action.

The first game of the group would be Premier Medical at ‘home' to Spanish team Torpedo Raval. It was the Spanish team who scored the first goal of the group when Carles Donat stepped up to put Torpedo Raval 1-0 up. This would prove to be a lead they took into half-time. The first goal of the game had been crucial to so many matches in the 2009 Barcelona Fives with few teams coming back to win from going a goal behind although we had seen a couple of teams recover to claim a draw. An equalizer ultimately proved elusive for Premier Medical as Torpedo Raval goalkeeper, Fabio, claimed a clean sheet and helped earn all three points.

The next game in the group would be the return leg or Torpedo Raval's home fixture. We had seen earlier in Group B that after ABN Ammo had run Pilote Urbain close in their first game they had put so much effort into trying to recover the result that they came up short for the second game. Lightning was to strike twice and Premier Medical suffered the same fate. To be fair they battled hard first half and it was a Teddy Iborra goal that separated the two teams at the break. The second half proved a different story as Torpedo Raval stretched their lead thanks to a goal from Adria Mones before Teddy Iborra scored twice more to complete his hat-trick and a 4-0 victory to put them comfortably in charge of Group D. Matches against the Black Sheep for each team would now be crucial although moreso for Premier Medical you felt.

The Black Sheep against Premier Medical was the Spanish team's first match of the tournament and fresh (not to mention younger) legs may well have been to their advantage as they opened up a 2-0 first half lead thanks to a brace from Marc Chuecos – a great start to the tournament for him. The second half saw Premier Medical get back on track although the two goal first half deficit had given them too much to do. They drew the second half 2-2 and scored their first goals of the tournament firstly through Antony Lucas and secondly from Chris Nelson. The second half goals from Black Sheep's Alex Arenas and Albert Marx meant the game finished 4-2.

When the Black Sheep met Torpedo Raval for the first time it was two teams meeting who had yet to face defeat and both with 100% records. At least one of those stats would go in this game and in fact both went in emphatic style as Torpedo Raval lost for the first time. The Black Sheep turned on the style as they swept their compatriots apart 4-0.

Albert Marx opened the scoring for Black Sheep before Marc Chuecos made it 2-0 and then 3-0. Alex Arenas completed the scoring in a result that would see Black Sheep replace Torpedo Raval on top of Group D.

They would have a chance to open up a clear lead when they took on Premier Medical for the second time. The form book was turned upside down though as Premier Medical produced a stunning display to knock the Black Sheep out of their stride. Maybe the Black Sheep had given up the advantage of youth in favour of the strength and experience of Premier Medical – whatever it was though it paid dividends. The game started off tightly and Premier Medical edged it going in at the break 2-1. Chris Nelson and Jason Claxton's goal outnumbering the goal from Albert Marx of the Black Sheep.

It was the second half where the Premier Medical side turned the screw though as they put the game beyond any doubt with goals from Harry Brunjes Jnr and Chris Roberts. The 4-1 victory a great confidence booster for Premier Medical going into the Plate.

The defeat for Black Sheep meant that they would meet Torpedo Raval in the final game of the group with both teams bound for the Cup but the Group D at stake. Torpedo Raval would have to win as the Black Sheep had the superior goal difference by just the one goal so a draw would be good enough for them. A win they wanted and a win they got thanks to a Teddy Iborra strike. The Black Sheep had suddenly lost two on the spin so would need to recover their form for the quarter-final. Torpedo Raval would proudly take their place in the next round as Group D winners.
