2025 will see the 17th anniversary of our Amsterdam Fives tournament and, due to popular demand, the 7th edition of our Amsterdam Sixes.

Our Amsterdam Fives event was so popular in 2017 that we couldn't fit enough teams in so we launched the Sixes event which sold out in record time. It was only a matter of a few weeks from launch that the event reached capacity.

The 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024 events proved just as popular and also sold out so we have renewed the event for another season. Over the years our Amsterdam events has seen teams compete from Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Rep, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Holland, Israel, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Wales.

The Dutch have always had a special place in world football being the architects of 'Total Football'. The famous orange-clad dutchmen of the 1970's set the world alight with their innovative and entertaining brand of football. In fact, the 1970s Holland team is arguably the greatest side never to have lifted the World Cup. No-one epitomises this more than Johan Cruyff, innovator of the eponymous Cruyff Turn.

Ajax is one of the teams that has earned the right to keep the European Cup - winning consecutively from 1971 through to 1973. In 1972, they completed the treble by winning the Dutch League, Cup and European Cup. Add the 1995 Champions League, with one of the finest young teams to win the tournament, there are not many cities in the world that can claim a finer breeding ground.

So you know the football pedigree of Amsterdam and Ajax - do you know what the city has to offer in terms of entertainment? Of course you do! You do not need us to tell you that Amsterdam is one of the most liberal cities in the world and with plenty of drinking establishments to choose from and a liberal outlook, backed up by liberal sex and drug laws, comes a great relaxed atmosphere to enjoy your post-football drinks and the variety of 'nightlife' on offer.

Format: 2 groups of 6 teams will play in the group stages. The top two teams in each group plus will progress to the Cup which will then be played on a knockout basis (Semi-Final and Final). The teams in third and fourth place will progress to the Plate which will then be played on a knockout basis (Semi-Final and Final).

Tournament Venue

The 2025 Amsterdam Sixes will be held at a purpose built 5/6-a-aside football facility that only opened in December 2015. Changing facilities, food and drink stalls plus a medic will all be on hand.

* Female players are permitted but it is not a mixed tournament per se. Female players will likely play against all male teams.
