So,
who would meet Team Koopman in the Plate Final?
It would be either Rain Dragons or Wizards of
WhatsApp as England took on the Netherlands.
This
game was going to be a tough one to call as the
two teams had similar records. Both teams had
won 2 and lost 3 of their 5 games so far. Both
teams had a tournament goal difference of -4 for
the day. Rain Dragons had a more conservative
8 goals for and 12 against whereas Wizards of
WhatsApp had a maverick and flamboyant 20 goals
for but 20 conceded.
You
felt if Rain Dragons could keep it tight at the
back there would be opportunities at the other
end if they could take them. It was a tight first
half and the defence was doing their bit by shutting
out Wizards of WhatsApp. They also scored the
opening goal of the game to lead 1-0.
In
the second half the goals flowed and mainly for
the Rain Dragons. They went on to hit their opponents
for 5 with Will Watkins, Mitchell Piggon, Haydn
Gush and Andrew Jeffries (2) all on target. Bas
and Charly were on the score-sheet for Wizards
of WhatsApp but could not prevent their team exiting
the tournament.
