Galacticos (Por) took eurofootballfives.com glory at the third attempt following a Cup Quarter-Final and a Plate Semi-Final finish over the last couple of years. They beat Cheesecake FC into second place who also finished in second here in 2011.

In the Plate competition it was another Portuguese victory as Trilution took the honours. Water Boy who won the Plate at the 2013 Algarve Open had to settle for runners-up medals as they finished second here in 2016.

The day's personal honours went to Spain's Nacho Monales who claimed the top goalscorer award courtesy of his 8 goals that helped propel his Irish team, Saipan FC, into the Cup group.
