With two games to go the games were becoming more and more important especially in the race for 4th place and Cup qualification from the group stage. Aston Villa in 2nd place were already guaranteed to proceed even if they did falter in their last two games. Aston Villa were looking up at Man Utd instead of behind though. Their next fixture was against 8th placed Arsenal and they were expecting three points. A solid performance meant that a fairly routine match was won with goals from Steve Chamberlain and Nabeel Shabir. This was Nabeel Shabir's fourth goal of the tournament and put him just one goal behind Jorge Correira in the goalscoring charts – or so he thought!

That's because at the same time on Pitch B, Jorge Correira was leading a one-man demolition of Reading Royals. Reading Royals whose fine recent form had seen them pick up four points and two clean sheets in their previous two games were swept aside by table-topping Man Utd in dismissive fashion. Reading Royals had no answer to Jorge Correira as he ran in four goals for the only hat-trick of the tournament. This took his tally to 9 for the tournament and with games running out surely the top goalscorer prize was his. Miguel Antonio also found himself on the scoresheet as Man Utd completed the biggest win of the competition, 5-0, in a game Reading will want to forget.

Ipswich Town Elite were looking to cement their place in the Cup knowing that a win would guarantee their qualification. It would not be easy though against 3rd placed Chelsea . In fact, a win for Ipswich would see them jump ahead of their Portuguese opposition into 3rd. With this prospect in sight Ipswich came storming out of the blocks and took an early 1-0 lead through Jon Ling. This stung Chelsea into action with wave after wave of attack on the Ipswich goal. The defence was holding firm though with the save of the tournament from Andrew Senior as he leapt across goal to beat out a well hit drive from point blank range. Chelsea then hit the bar, then they hit the post and you wondered how long Ipswich could keep their opponents at bay. Eventually the pressure told and Edmundo Estevaio put Chelsea level. With the elation for Chelsea and the heartbreak for Ipswich momentum changed and Chelsea ultimately ran out comfortable winners with further goals from Andri Mongines, Andrei Montinho and Andri Mongines again. The 4-1 scoreline meaning Chelsea would finish in 3 rd at worst. The defeat for Ipswich meant they would be looking over their shoulders going into the final game.

This was especially true as on Pitch B, Liverpool were looking to turn their form around against 7th placed Tottenham. Liverpool knew only a win would be good enough to keep the pressure on Ipswich and maintain their hopes of qualifying from the group stage. Liverpool , much to their relief, put aside a 3-game losing streak to claim three points. The vital goal came in the first half when Marcus Fanshawe struck from an acute angle. There were question marks over whether the keeper could have done better but Liverpool did not care and hung on to claim their 1-0 victory. Game on for 4 th placed going into the last round of games.
