Fancy a kickabout in the Baltics? Riga became the 12th European tournament destination on the eurofootballfives.com circuit in September 2016 and the first to be held in the Baltic country of Latvia.

The tournament proved a huge success as we extended the original capacity no less than 3 times as the tournament draw surged to 24 teams with England, France, Latvia and Lithuania all represented.

Our Baltic debut was so popular we booked in Vilnius for September 2017 and Riga again for May 2018.

The tournament is a 5-a-side football tournament aimed at teams of a social / amateur standard. So, whether you are a 5-a-side team, 11-a-side team, a team from work, on a stag weekend or just a group of mates looking to play some friendly yet competitive football whilst on tour - this is for you. A weekend of travel, football and beers - what more could you ask for?

So, why Riga? The Old Town dates back to 1201 and has been included as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Old Town is characterized by narrow cobbled streets which snake through the classic architecture and beautifully restored buildings. You will also find historic passageways within the fortress walls. The Old Town, similar to that of Krakow, is best enjoyed on foot.

OK, so that's the culture out the way which you can tell those at home so they are not on your case when you tell them you are going on tour. Now for the details you really want to know….

The Riga nightlife scene is very diverse, extending from the dingiest pub to the hottest club, with plenty of surprises in between. There are courtyard bars, huge indoor fashion clubs and cutting-edge dance venues are scattered throughout the city. Another feature of Riga nightlife is that there is no rush. There is always time to get an after-hours drink in and things often only get going after midnight. In other words, it is well worth staying up past your normal Friday night bedtime.

Tournament Venue

The 2018 Riga Tournament will be held at a venue with artificial grass field with shower/changing facilities, medical station with physio and cafe/bar to purchase food and drinks (refreshments not included within price).

Price (per person) includes
