Gdansk
hosted our 100th tournament in 2018
It
was a stunning success and returns for 2019
Gdansk
is quite simply a stunning city. We were so convinced
by the destination that it was selected to host
our 100th tournament (September 2018) and it did
not disappoint. A great atmosphere, a beautiful
Old Town, good nightlife and cheap food &
beer.
It
was the proverbial “no-brainer” for us to select
Gdansk to feature in our schedule again for 2019.
The
tournament is a 5-a-side football tournament aimed
at teams of a social / amateur standard. So, whether
you are a 5-a-side team, 11-a-side team, a team
from work, on a stag weekend or just a group of
mates looking to play some friendly yet competitive
football whilst on tour - this is for you. A weekend
of travel, football and beers - what more could
you ask for?
So,
why Gdansk?
Together with Sopot and Gdynia,
Gdansk creates Tri-City (3 towns for the price
of 1). Gdansk is attractive because
of the numerous historical and cultural sites
including a charming medieval Old Town that may
well remind you of Krakow in some respects. If
you have time on your tour it is worth a
visit to the pier & beach in Sopot and
Kosciuszko square in Gdynia. Sopot is
worth a visit for the nightlife if you fancy trying
Gdansk one night and Sopot the next.
Talking
of nightlife…. Gdansk is an excellent place to
go out drinking and/or dancing. There are countless
pubs and bars , many of which are located in the
basements of historic buildings. Many of these
after dark turn into discos to complement the
other clubs on offer. Sopot is the beach resort
with the associated nightlife and is often dubbed
as “party town” of Tri-city. There's plenty on
offer to keep you occupied.
We
would love you to join us in Gdansk, to register
your interest or for more information then -
