eurofootballfives.com
are very proud to have supported and assisted
The Prostate Cancer Charity's 2008 Real Man Cup.
The tournament saw 45 teams come together at Beckenham
Goals on the 8 th March to see who would be crowned
the 2008 Real Man Cup Champions.
The
tournament was set up to help The Prostate Cancer
Charity to tackle the most common cancer amongst
men in the U.K. The Prostate Cancer Charity's
three core objectives are to provide support,
information and fund research into the cancer.
The
tournament certainly helped raise awareness and
also over £20,000 to assist the charity
in achieving their objectives.
As
well as promoting the tournament, on the day itself
eurofootballfives.com ran a penalty shoot out
competition and crossbar challenge to raise further
funds. Special guest of the day, John Barnes,
took his chances against our goalkeeper taking
six penalties on the day scoring 5 out of 6 with
goalkeeper Rhys having the huge honour of saving
a penalty from one of the legends of the modern
game.
After
a full day's competition Kier 4 were crowned 2008
Real Man Cup champions. As well as the glory and
the trophies Kier 4 qualified for Europe by gaining
entry into the 2008 Prague Trophy.
At
the time of writing (March 2008) Czech teams have
reigned supreme in Prague with every tournament
to date being won by a local team. This October
Kier 4 will be spearheading the overseas challenge.
