In
the first round of matches, three Czech sides
firmly put down a marker for their visiting teams
with a 2-1 win for Karcinogeni over Byraspor,
2-0 Slepi Kone over Lions Bar and a pulsating
5-1 for Kehar Club over Fighting Pukekos.
In
fact, these were the only 3 wins in round 1 with
That's Right and Northam Celtic (both UK) registering
their first points of the day in a 0-0 draw.
Byraspor
looked strong despite their defeat to Karcinogeni.
The
Fighting Pukekos, whilst suffering a heavy defeat
were buoyed by the fact that Hamish Maguire had
scored a wonder goal with a fantastic strike from
distance.

can't read too much into early league tables but
you can't deny the Czech challenge looked strong! |
